#8.5 - YHWH

You probably are wondering why I am going numerically backwards in blogs; know that I do everything intentionally. ;)

This has been a project I have been working on since Pilgrimage. (see blog #8 "- “Pal-grims of a Million Little Miracles”).

One day (out of the 4 days I was at pilgrimage), my fellow “pal-grims” and I were encouraged to present something different for our daily projects which was awesome because I had been flooded by Holy Spirit with words as I was sitting with the amazing ladies at my St. Mark table. My eyes lit up and before I knew it…it felt like my hand was being guided like a parent helping a child to write for the first time. I would read the stanzas of the poem aloud to the St. Mark’s girls and we would vote on different ones (Yeah we had multiple stanzas for the same discussion to choose from it was pretty neat!) or change things around to make it all flow better. No other table had written a poem or song so of course we wanted to present something different to everyone (which went over well).

What the girls at the St. Mark’s table and I were working on was one out of four days worth of projects…and I went backwards to slowly but surely finish the poem. These stanzas are all based off of discussions we had during pilgrimage. The first and last stanza are the same because like my personal prayers….they begin and end in pure hearted gratitude.

Thank you to my St. Mark’s girls for helping me on the solid start on this fun piece of writing. It is truly an honor to have finished it. I love you all dearly and miss your beautiful faces!!!

Merry Christmas, Friends!!! Happy Birthday, Jesus!!!

“YHWH” - An original poem by me with the help of my MP#75 St. Mark’s girls! <3

Thank you, Yahweh.

My free will is Yours alone

Surrendered in obedience

Glory to you on the throne.

Choose us, Yahweh.

With you we prioritize a relationship

Through the blood of your only son Jesus

We’re adopted into divine kinship.

Hear us, Yahweh.

We invite you into our lives

Allow us to live in Grace and

views of Biblical deep dives.

Invite us, Yahweh.

To be one with you

With new identities

And family that’s true.

Cover us, Yahweh.

In your radiant will.

In your mighty armor.

Prophecy fulfilled.

Equip us, Yahweh.

Our place in Your form.

Your word is The Truth.

In Jesus we’re reborn.

Seal us, Yahweh.

With your living grace.

You set us apart-holy,

To reflect Your face.

Show us, Yahweh

How to be holy

In education and worship,

And to help others to live wholly.

Shape us, Yahweh.

Piety floods our hearts

Through your written word and

Movement in our fresh starts.

Keep us, Yahweh.

In accord, we’re Your children

Created for divine purpose

Holy fishers of men.

Transform us, Yahweh

May we always follow Your leading

Through vast seasons and environments

For it is Your sheep we are feeding.

Lead us, Yahweh.

Your way, truth, and life.

We lead because you love

Unconditionally despite strife.

Move us, Yahweh.

So we hear, seek, go, and do.

Our gratitude for your grace.

All of us for You.

Sustain us, Yahweh.

In a life of Your grace.

Let us come, wait, and go.

United in holy space.

Secure us, Yahweh.

In a life FULL of your miracles.

We count on you; you count on us.

We know You are empirical.

Thank you, Yahweh.

My free will is Yours alone

Surrendered in obedience

Glory to you on the throne.
